Los Angeles, California, July 6, 2007 - Abigail\'s father, Scott Taylor was
interviewed in the WCCO-TV and described that the suction pump tore out some 2
inches or 5 centimeters of Abigail\'s rectum. This tear caused the suction to pull
out most of the girl\'s small intestines. The doctors needed to remove some other
remaining part of Abigail\'s intestines, according to Bob Bennett, who was the
Taylor\'s family lawyer.

Abigail was confined in the intensive care unit of the Children\'s Hospital during
Thursday and appeared to be surviving the accident, Bennett reported.

Abigail underwent a recent surgery. Bennett declared that for the rest of the girl\'s
life, she would have to receive the nutrition required by her body through a life
support device.

According to Bennett, the drain hole of the swimming pool where Abigail was injured
has been uncovered improperly.

Meanwhile, the club\'s general manager, supervising the swimming pools told some of
the media that there seems to be nothing wrong with the swimming pool. He referred
most of the questions to be directed to the club\'s insurance company attorney, who
declined from giving any comment regarding the matter.

There are several states in the country, which have passed statutes concerning pool
safety right after some accidents when children have been drowned or disemboweled by
the pool\'s drain suction. In North Carolina, for example, there are state laws that
require swimming pools to maintain dual drains in order to disseminate the force of
the suction pumps they use. This is a precaution to avoid children from being
trapped in the suctions.
